NEWLY installed Philippine National Police (PNP) Spokesperson Colonel Roderick Augustus Alba will be promoted to the rank of brigadier general, PNP chief General Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar said Saturday, October 9, 2021.
Alba, who hails from Bacolod, was assumed as PNP spokesperson on October 1.
A member of the Philippine National Police Academy Class 1992, Alba used to be the deputy director of the PNP Information Technology Management System prior to his new assignment.
Alba also served as the officer-in-charge of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, provincial director of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office, chief of Regional Operations and Plans Division of the Police Regional Office Western Visayas, among other assignments.
Eleazar wants Alba to sustain PNP public information programs with utmost transparency and public accountability by ensuring the public right to information and promoting public information consciousness among PNP units and personnel.
