SENIOR Superintendent Francisco Ebreo, acting director of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), warned three police station commanders that they will be relieved from their posts if they continue to have poor performances on the campaign against criminalities, wanted persons, illegal drugs, loose firearms, and illegal gambling.
Ebreo, in a press conference at the BCPO headquarters Thursday, July 26, said these station commanders, whose names were withheld, were given until August 5 to comply with his directive or else they will be removed from their posts.
“I gave them a second chance to improve their performances and to prove that they are worthy of their positions,” Ebreo said.
The Bacolod top cop said a police station should conduct at least one operation per week against illegal gambling, illegal drugs, loose firearms, and wanted persons.
If they still fail to improve, they will be included in the reshuffling of Police Regional Office(PRO)-Western Visayas and will be transferred to different police stations in the Panay area, Ebreo said.
Ebreo reminded policemen that reshuffling, particularly on commissioned officers, is just part of the change that needs to be accepted because of command responsibility.
Last month, five station commanders were also relieved from their posts due to the retirement of Chief Inspector Benedicto Villarias Jr., former head of Police Station 2.
