THE Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) chairman of Barangay 30 in Bacolod City has resigned from his post effective May 17, this year.
Ma. Joy Maredith Madayag, director of Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)-Bacolod, said on Monday that she received the resignation letter of Barangay 30 SK Chairman Kerwin Dejole last week.
In his letter addressed to Madayag, Dejole said that he will be resigning from his position as SK chairman of Barangay 30 effectively May 17 due to a new job opportunity that awaits for him.
“I am very grateful with all the learning I gained from this field of work. I am honored that I had the chance to serve our community here in Barangay 30 and I will always be proud to be part of this field,” he said.
Madayag said the post of Dejole will be occupied by its number one SK Kagawad Lyka Dela Pena.
She said that Dela Pena also assumed its post immediately since she already attended the SK mandatory training in Bacolod.
Dela Pena was only required to submit its requirements to DILG-office.
Madayag said the SK officials of Barangay 30 should also pass a resolution to complete the lists of seven SK kagawads to occupy the post of Dela Pena.
