SENIOR Inspector Jun Ray Batadlan has been designated as new head of Police Station 9 effective August 27.
This was confirmed on Monday, August 27, by Batadlan who told SunStar Bacolod that the order was signed by Senior Superintendent Francisco Ebreo, acting director of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO).
Batadlan, who was previously assigned as deputy for operations at the BCPO, replaced Senior Inspector John Christopher Masangkay.
Masangkay is transferred to the BCPO headquarters.
Ebreo, during the flag ceremony at the BCPO headquarters, said the change of command is part of the normal procedure.
Masangkay was the head of Police Station 9 when a shootout happened between the Special Weapons and Tactics and two robbers at Barangay Sum-ag, Bacolod City three weeks ago.
The two robbers and another civilian were killed while three other civilians were hit by stray bullets during the crossfire.
The incident came after a reported robbery hold-up incident in Bago City. (GYM)
