MISUNDERSTANDING allegedly triggered a man in killing his younger brother in Ilog town, Negros Occidental on Saturday, December 11, 2021.
Killed was Marvin Demson, 36, of Purok Patino in Barangay Bocana in Ilog.
SunStar Bacolod tried to reach town police station chief Captain Thurslie Castillo for further details on the case, but he was not answering the calls.
In a report his station submitted to the Negros Occidental Provincial Police Office (Nocppo), investigation showed that Demson had just arrived home with his elder brother Mario Demson Jr. from a drinking spree earlier Saturday when they figured in an altercation.
The victim punched his elder brother while they were arguing that angered the latter, he said.
The elder Demson then took a bladed weapon and stabbed his sibling on the stomach, he also said.
The victim died while on his way to the Lorenzo Zayco District Hospital at the nearby Kabankalan City, while his elder brother was arrested and is now detained at the Ilog town police custodial facility.
