PROVINCIAL Election Supervisor Ian Lee Ananoria said that candidates for the coming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections on October 30 can now download the Certificate of Candidacy from the website of the Commission on Elections. Ananoria said that the duly-accomplished COC will still be submitted to the respective local offices of the Comelec. He clarified that only applications for gun ban exemptions can be filed online. He said that the Regional Joint Security Control Center (RJSCC) will convene this month before the campaign period that kicks off on August 28. Ananoria reminded the public that BSKE is "non-partisan." Mayors are not allowed to formally endorse candidates at the barangay level, he stressed. However, Ananoria admitted that some of them are personal friends.*
