Bulalacao: Police stations are 'ready and full alert'

CHIEF Superintendent John Bulalacao, director of Police Regional Office (PRO)-Western Visayas, was upbeat after learning that police stations in Negros Occidental are ready and always on full alert.

This was his assessment after visiting some of the police stations in the province over the weekend, especially in those localities with reported presence of the communist rebels.

Bulalacao said that even Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Castil Jr., provincial police director, does not know about the surprise inspection in police stations until they reached Sipalay City.

He said he was glad to see that there were members of the Philippine Army that were conducting route security when they passed by Candoni town.

The police chief in Candoni Municipal Police Station was not there during his inspection because he had a meeting in Bacolod City, he said. However, he still expressed his satisfaction as he claimed that personnel in police stations are ready.

He reminded the policemen to never be afraid as long as they have not committed any abuses in the community, which the rebels are using against them when they launched their atrocities or attacks in police stations.

Bulalacao told personnel of all police stations to be always on alert especially that peace process has been halted. (GYM)
