Cadiz to allocate funds for frontliners infected with coronavirus

THE Cadiz City Government will allocate funds for frontliners infected with the novel coronavirus, Mayor Salvador Escalante Jr. said.

Escalante said the fund will be contained in a proposed ordinance that calls for the City Government to provide "free hospital expenses if admitted and P50,000 if they are asymptomatic."

"It will be submitted to the Sanggunian Panglunsod for approval," the mayor said.

He also said that Cadiz City has enough funds "to take care of our frontliners."

Cadiz City is experiencing a recent spike in Covid-19 cases.

But Escalante said the city has no fatality as far as frontliners infected with the virus are concerned.

He added that they have frontliners who are "immuno- compromised."

Escalante said that Cadiz has 10 new cases of government frontliners who were infected and are assigned at the St. Andrews Place Healing Center.
