Candoni reintroduces restrictions

THE town of Candoni has reintroduced several restrictions as it tries to control the spike in Covid-19 cases in the municipality.

Based on Executive Order No. 24 signed by town Mayor Cicero "Celot" Borromeo, he ordered the local Department of Education to temporarily suspend the distribution of modules in all levels.

All religious and worship services in the town are also temporarily canceled, except burials that will be limited to the family of the household only.

The town's resorts, recreational, and entertainment establishments are also ordered to temporarily close.

The town will also observe a "No Market Day" starting May 16 until further notice. Cockfighting is also prohibited.

The Candoni Municipal Health Office will also continue its operations, however, until further notice, it will only accept emergency services.

Based on records by the Provincial Incident Management Team of Negros Occidental, Candoni currently had 14 active Covid-19 cases as of May 11, 2021.
