A 19-YEAR-OLD teenager was killed while five others suffered injuries after they figured in an accident in Barangay 5, Victorias City, Negros Occidental on Saturday, February 11, 2023.
Killed was Jun Jun Milleza, 19, of Cadiz City, a helper in the refrigerated van.
Police said the driver of the refrigerated van, Gimbo Escordial, 40, of Cadiz City, lost control of the vehicle, causing it to swerve, fall on its side, and hit the incoming dump truck in the opposite lane.
The driver of the dump truck, identified as Francis Poral, 48, of Victorias City, and his helpers, Ireneo Demapanag, 29, Jun Art Advincula, 25, and Jilson Morgiya, 19, all of EB Magalona town, sustained injuries.
The delivery truck was on its way to Manapla town to deliver sand when it met the accident.
Milleza was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.
Poral is now in the custody of the Victorias police station.*MPE
