Customer stabs balut vendor

A BALUT vendor was injured after he was stabbed by his customer at Crossing Tabao in Barangay Tabao, Valladolid, Negros Occidental Wednesday night, October 17.

Police identified the victim as Erano Dioso, 44, of Barangay Felisa, Bacolod City.

Investigation showed the victim was vending peanuts and balut using his tricycle at Crossing Tabao when Salvador Ornillo, 51, asked him about the price of the peanuts.

When Dioso answered him, the suspect complained about the expensive price of peanuts and punched the victim on his left jaw.

The police said Dioso stepped down from his tricycle, but the suspect suddenly stabbed him on his left forehead.

Dioso tried to seek assistance in a repair shop in the area, but the suspect chased him and stabbed him again on his left chest.

The victim was rushed to Valladolid District Hospital, but later transferred to Corazon Locsin Motelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.

Ornillo was also arrested in a follow-up operation and detained at the custodial facility of Valladolid Municipal Police Station. (MAP)
