THE provincial director of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) said they have yet to receive a copy of the narco-list from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
"Maybe the names of the politicians who are in the narco-list would be known once the President (Rodrigo Duterte) announced it. It's the PDEA who determines that," said Carmelo Orbista.
He said the DILG is only coordinating with PDEA about the barangay drug clearing operation but they are not the lead agency as far as the narco-list is concerned.
PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino confirmed at least 60 mayors, six congressmen, and vice governors were among the 93 government officials in the narco-list.
He said some of the officials are from Calabarzon, Northern Mindanao and the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
