THE John Paul II Institute on Marriage and Family in the Diocese of Bacolod will hold a Theological and Pastoral Conference on July 12-13.
With the theme: "55 Years of Humanae Vitae: Updates and Challenges", the conference will be held at the St. John Marie Vianney Conference Hall, San Sebastian Cathedral Complex, Bacolod City.
The guest speaker is Msgr. Gilfredo Marengo, SThD, Vice President of the Pontifical John Paul II Theological Institute for Marriage and Family Sciences at Pontifical Lateran University in Rome.
There will be a Concelebrated Mass on July 12, 2023 at 5:15 p.m.
The John Paul II Institute on Marriage and Family is an Associate Center of the Pontifical John Paul II Theological Institute for Marriage and Family Sciences at Pontifical Lateran University in Rome, Italy. It is recognized by the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP).
It is an Institute with several Sessions in the Dioceses of Baguio, Tagum and Zamboanga Sibugay.
The John Paul II Institute offers a Master's Degree in Education with specialization in Marriage and Family and Diploma Course in Marriage and Family. The John Paul II Institute is in Consortium with the University of St. La Salle University in Bacolod City.
On July 11, 2023, Msgr. Gilfredo Marengo will give a Spiritual Talk to the Priests during the Clergy Recollection at the Sacred Heart Seminary with the theme: "The Missionary Transformation of the Church in Renewed Reception of the Vatican II Council.
At 6 p.m., Msgr. Marengo will grace the Lights On Ceremony of the John Paul II Tower and Museum.
On July, 13, 2023, Msgr. Marengo will have a meeting with Bacolod Bishop Patricio Buzon, Vicar General and Director of the John Paul II Institute Msgr. Ronaldo Quijano, and USLS President and Chancellor Br. Joaquin Martinez, to assess the John Paul II Institute and the Academic Formation of the Associate Center.
On July 14, 2023, Msgr. Marengo will meet the Graduates, Educators and Family and Life Ministers of the Diocese of Bacolod. (PR)
