Driver, salesman of tobacco firm robbed

Three armed men robbed a salesman and driver of a tobacco firm and took about P80,000 in cash and gadget in Murcia town, Negros Occidental on Tuesday Morning, August 9, 2022.

Rene Estores, 34, of Hacienda Paz in the town’s Barangay Calandog and Orlando Edeso, 31, of Purok Guanzon in Barangay Mansilingan in Bacolod City, employed as driver and salesman of Fortune Tobacco, respectively, told the police that they were at a sari-sari store when the suspects with unidentified firearm held them up.

They said the suspects took P66,000 in cash, a printer valued at P9,000, a dash camera valued at P23,000 and ignition key valued at P3,500.

Edeso added that the suspect also took his P1,000 in cash.

The complainant also told the police that two of the suspects were wearing facemasks while the other one was wearing a helmet.

Captain Mark Joel Reclamada said that they already identified the suspects, whom he said are from Bago City, Negros Occidental.

Reclamada said they are the same suspects who were responsible for robbing two sales agents at Purok Lumboy in the town’s Barangay Caliban on July 26 this year.
