Felisa village chief given 6 days to answer complaint

VILLAGE chieftain Ramon Jardin of Barangay Felisa was given six days to answer the complaint filed against him before the Office of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) in Bacolod.

Ma. Joy Maredith Madayag, director of DILG-Bacolod, said Thursday, July 26, they received the complaint of the Informal Waste Sector (IWS) in Barangay Felisa on Wednesday and it was already forwarded to Jardin.

She said Jardin should answer the complaint so that the problem within their barangay will be resolved.

Madayag said any complaints against the local officials can be filed at the DILG, City Mayor’s Office or the Office of the Ombudsman. “We will wait for the answer of Jardin so we can hear his side,” she added.

Jardin said he implemented the ID system because they need to evaluate, asses, reorient and recognize the existing members of IWS Association in order to have a smooth, convenient and appropriate operations at the landfill.
