A FEMALE minor was injured after she figured in a road accident at Barangay Cabahug in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental Saturday, August 4.
Investigation showed that the 11-year-old victim, whose name was withheld, was about to cross the road when she was allegedly sideswiped by an L300 pick-up on its way to Sagay City.
The vehicle was driven by Roel Ortiz, 51, of Bacolod City.
The minor felt unconscious and sustained injuries. She was then brought to a hospital in Bacolod City.
Ortiz surrendered at Sagay City Police Station and was turned over to the custody of Cadiz City Police Station. (Faith Hope Lauren, STI West Negros University intern)
