Who is the contractor of the controversial Negros First Animal Hub at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Barangay Mansilingan?
In the coming days, the contractor would be known, Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. said Friday, April 20.
"Hulog sa langit," the governor said of the contractor because the building would be at no cost to the province since it was built without the consent of the Provincial Government and has not undergone the bidding process.
The building is now 80 percent complete.
When asked if the end user, which the Provincial Veterinary Office has the accountability on the construction of the building, Marañon explained that Provincial Veterinarian Renante Decena was not around when the construction started because he was on vacation leave at that time.
"The province will give the contractor a Plaque of Appreciation for that building," the governor.
He said that the building is considered a squatter on the government property.
The governor said the investigating committee has already been given the go signal to conduct an investigation on the matter.
