Jeepney driver caught with drugs at Bacolod police headquarters

A JEEPNEY driver who was supposed to claim his driver’s license for a traffic violation at the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) headquarters Tuesday, December 20, ended up in jail after he accidentally pulled a sachet of drugs from his pocket.

Nabbed was 36-years-old Willy Satoc of Purok Bulak, Barangay Mandalagan.

Staff Sergeant Roberto Gaurana, Police Station 8 investigator, in a phone interview, said the suspect was on his way to the Bacolod Traffic Authority Office (BTAO), which was inside the BCPO compound when he was stopped by policemen manning the gate.

When the suspect was asked to show his citation ticket, he accidentally pulled a sachet of suspected shabu from his pocket.

He was immediately arrested by the cops.

Recovered from his possession was .005 grams of suspected shabu worth P500.

Satoc is now in the custody of Police Station 8, pending drug charges.*
