THE JPP Band rocked the stage and took home the victory at Kabankalan City’s Battle of the Bands over the weekend.
Also known as the Jerry Panisales Project, the Bacolod-based band won a P30,000 cash prize and trophy.
Kabankalan City is currently celebrating its 26th Charter Anniversary and Udyakan Festival until August 2, 2023 with the bands clash last July 30 as one of its nightly attractions in the public plaza.
Joining JPP in the winners’ paltform are 1st runner-up Infinite Ridge of Bacolod City and Kabankalan’s own, The Maverick. The bands received trophies and cash prizes of P20,000 and P10,000, respectively.
JPP was also awarded the Best Keyboardist, while Infinite Ridge clinched the Best Least Guitarist and Best Bassist Awards.
Meanwhile, Symmetric Symphony won the Best Vocalist award, and Groove Yard won Best Drummer.
All special awards winners received trophies and P2,000 chash each.
Seven consolation prizes worth P3,000 were also given to all participating bands.
