SM CITY Bacolod’s volunteers spread Christmas happiness, joining all other SM Supermalls across the country in a simultaneous gift giving activity.
Through its charity arm, SM Foundation, SM Supermalls launched Christmas Cheers 2022, distributing thousands of gift packs all over the country.
This special holiday project aims to bring happiness and hope to families in communities where SM malls are located.
In Bacolod City, the mall shared gift packs to 175 families, benefiting the communities surrounding the mall namely Barangays 10, 12 and 13, and the Manokan Country vendors group.
The gift packs received by beneficiaries contained holiday treats and essentials, timely for a small family Christmas feast.
SM City Bacolod thanked its local partner, the Bacolod City Department of Social Services and Development in helping identify the families whose Christmas would be most meaningful from such a gift pack.
All around the country, SM’s support to communities are from sectors in need, especially persons with disabilities, senior groups, urban poor, and indigenous people. (PR)
