A 62-YEAR-OLD stepmother was killed and buried at the riverbank by her own stepson in Sitio Paniquion, Barangay Jerusalem, Cadiz City.
The victim was identified as Andiolina Sibuyan while the suspect was identified as Angelito Sibuyan, 42 years old.
Police Lt. Col. Robert Mansueto, Chief of Cadiz City Police Station said that the crime was discovered Monday, after the suspect was seen by some of his neighbors digging at the riverbank near their house.
The suspect admitted the crime and helped retrieve the body of his stepmother.
He said that he lost control of himself and killed her stepmom who would often offend him with her mouth.
Mansueto said the suspect admitted that he killed his stepmom by suffocation on August 1 at about 7:00 p.m. and he immediately buried her at the riverbank.
The suspect is at the custodial facility of Cadiz Police Station pending appropriate charges to be filed against him.
