A MAN was shot to death by two unidentified male teenagers at Barangay Puso Proper in La Castellana, Negros Occidental Friday afternoon, May 11.
Killed was Roland Gonzales, 36, of Sitio Balunggay in Barangay Guinpana-an, Moises Padilla town.
La Castellana Municipal Police Station received a call from Barangay Captain Reggie Arnaiz informing them about the shooting incident at 3:45 p.m.
However, policemen did not immediately respond to the area, which they considered critical, as they validated the report first.
Investigation showed that the victim went to the house of a certain Estrella Ugbamen when the assailants approached him.
Gonzales tried to escape but he was chased by the gunmen who were armed with .45 caliber pistol and .9mm caliber pistol.
He succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds.
Senior Inspector John Ganzon, deputy police chief of the town, said they have yet to establish the motive.
They could not also confirm if suspected rebels were perpetrated the killing.
The police investigation is still ongoing. (GYM)
