‘Maximum bonus’ for capitol employees

THE provincial budget officer is preparing a bonus to the maximum for capitol employees.

This was revealed Wednesday, December 4, by Provincial Administrator lawyer Rayfrando Diaz when asked for an update on the extra bonus which the capitol employees have been expecting.

“It will be a sweet announcement to be made by the governor during the capitol employees Christmas Party on December 17,” Diaz said.

The exact amount is not yet revealed.

Last year, the capitol employees received a total of P80,000 each extra bonus.

Diaz said that all the awards and achievements as basis for giving the extra bonuses to the employees are already at his office and that they are making sure that the amount would be allowable under the guidelines of the Commission on Audit.

Diaz added that the funds for the bonus is ready and that the Budget Office has been preparing for the early release of the payroll this month of December to determine the extra bonus.

“The governor has already whispered to me the amount but I cannot reveal it yet,” Diaz also assured.

He said the availability of funds is not a question and that they just want to avoid any disallowance of COA to happen this time.

The provincial government through the Provincial Legal Office has already filed an appeal to the notice of disallowance for the capitol extra bonus for year 2015-2016.

“Hopefully, they will listen and consider our appeal,” Diaz added.
