BACOLOD City Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez has ordered the Public Order and Safety Office (Poso) to secure the public parks in the city especially, the Bacolod public plaza.
This, after some individuals were seen sleeping on the benches inside the Bacolod public plaza.
Benitez said the Poso personnel should monitor all the public parks and disallow any individuals to sleep on the benches.
He said this month, a consultant will arrive in the city for the lighting of the Bacolod public plaza.
"Our public plaza should have proper lighting like the other public plazas outside Bacolod," he added.
The mayor noted that the consultant will check and evaluate the plaza to determine the lighting improvement including the Halandumon Tower.
Benitez said currently, the Bacolod public plaza lacks lighting and some individuals used to sleep inside the plaza.
He said the city will also address the vendors selling around the plaza.*
