MCIA brings back sales mission in Bacolod

Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) returns to Bacolod to promote new flights and services by bringing its face-to-face Sales Mission on August 17 at Acacia Hotel Bacolod.

With the aim of fostering stronger connections and enhanced services in the region, MCIA brings more airline partners to meet travel agents and tour operators in the Visayas and Mindanao regions to provide updates on the products and services, and its connectivity.

Bacolod is the gateway to Negros Occidental and is among the key cities that contribute to passenger growth at MCIA.

The goal is to push the connectivity further between Cebu and Bacolod, both domestically and internationally.

In July this year, Bacolod recorded a 113 percent recovery in its weekly flight frequency compared to 2022. Bacolod presented 185% passenger growth with around 35 flights weekly.

“We are delighted to bring the Sales Mission once again to Bacolod. Bacolod remains to be one of the key cities for MCIA, and we recognize the potential of Negros Occidental as it carries a bigger population in Visayas. We are thrilled to resume our face-to-face Sales Mission as it provides us an excellent opportunity to reconnect with our stakeholders and further enhance the travel experience of our passengers through connectivity, especially in the Visayas and Mindanao regions,” said Lissa Aines Librodo, MCIA Head of Airline Marketing and Tourism Development.

MCIA started the Sales Mission in 2018 in key cities including Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Bacolod, Iloilo, and Tacloban to keep tourism stakeholders informed of the recent developments at MCIA.

The Sales Mission also serves as a platform for airline partners to present their products and conduct networking sessions with tour operators and travel agents. To date, MCIA has four Philippine-based and 18 foreign carriers.

MCIA is also connected to 27 domestic destinations and 12 international destinations.

The Sales Mission 2023 has already completed its sessions in Davao on August 2, in Cagayan de Oro on August 9, and in Iloilo on Wednesday. MCIA will hold its final run in Tacloban on August 23. (PR)
