Moises Padilla couple ‘likely’ to surrender Tuesday

MOISES Padilla Vice Mayor Ella Garcia Yulo and her husband, Felix Mathias Segundo Yulo III, may surrender to the authorities today, September 11.

Chief Superintendent John Bulalacao, director of Police Regional Office-Western Visayas said yesterday the couple initially planned to surrender this Tuesday.

However, he refused to divulge the place and time of the couple's possible surrender.

Bulalacao said he does know if it will be in Bacolod City but the vice mayor has been coordinating with him regarding the process of their surrender.

They also wanted to resolve their case, he added.

Last week, Undersecretary Martin Diño of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) said that the couple has sent surrender feelers but he also refused to provide more details about it for their safety.

The couple has two arrest warrants for illegal possession of explosives, and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition issued by La Carlota City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 63 Judge Cyclamen Jison-Fernandez on August 20.

The warrant of arrest for illegal possession of explosives has no bail while the other arrest warrant has a bail of P200,000 each.

The couple was arrested in a police checkpoint in December last year in Moises Padilla.
