THE body of an unidentified man was found in a Nipa hut at Purok Villa Sto. Rosario, Barangay Alijis, Bacolod City, Monday morning, April 24.
Captain Edward Bolivar, commander of Police Station 7, said the victim, who suffered multiple wounds, was found lying face down by a concerned citizen around 6 a.m.
The residents of the surrounding area, however, could not identify the victim.
Bolivar said the victim was wearing a blue T-shirt and pink shorts. He stood around five feet tall and was in his early 30s.
He said he believes the victim was killed in the area early in the morning, but police could not find a witness since it’s located near a sugarcane plantation, adding that it’s not yet known what weapon was used in the killing of the victim.
The police had already sought the assistance of the scene of the crime operatives (Soco) to determine the cause of death of the victim.
Bolivar also called on witnesses to surface at the station and help the investigation to arrest the perpetrator.*
