NegOcc guv designates Valladolid hospital as 2nd Covid-19 hospital

NEGROS Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson Lacson has designated the Valladolid District Hospital as the second coronavirus disease (Covid-19) dedicated hospital of the province.

This is in line with the determined effort of the governor to further build the capacity of the province to ably handle the Covid-19 situation, the Capitol statement said.

In a memorandum to Dr. Myre Parpa, officer-in-charge of Valladolid District Hospital, Lacson ordered the hospital should designate 50 beds for Covid-19 positive cases on or before September 14.

Meanwhile, Lacson also ordered Cadiz District Hospital, the province's first Covid-19 dedicated hospital, to increase its bed capacity for Covid-19 positive cases to 110 on or before September 14.

In a memorandum to Dr. Girlie Pinongan, head of Cadiz District Hospital, Lacson stated that 20 beds of the hospital shall be established for each floor starting from the third to the fifth floor and ten beds will be set up in the isolation room and 40 beds will be added to the former PNO-Nonescost building.
