NEGROS Occidental Provincial Police Office (Nocppo) is among the three nominees vying for best police provincial office in the country.
The announcement was made yesterday, July 12, by Lt. Judesses Catalogo, who is the acting spokesperson of Nocppo.
Catalogo said Nocppo will go against two other nominees including Camarines Norte and Cagayan Provincial Police Offices.
The best provincial police office will be rated based on their performances in upholding the Philippine National Police mission of enforcing the law and preventing crimes.
They will also be assessed on the manner how they maintain peace and order, and ensure public safety and internal security with the active support of the community.
Catalogo noted that representatives from Camp Crame are scheduled to arrive in the province for the evaluation.
He said that Nocppo was the top performing provincial office in the entire Western Visayas for six consecutive months.
One of the parameters considered was the individual performance evaluation rating of Nocppo Director Col. Leo Pamittan, he also said, adding that the Police Regional Office-6 also checked the administrative, operation, investigation, intelligence and police community relation aspects.
The Nocppo official also noted that they topped the performance on illegal drugs and anti-illegal gambling in the region, as he lauded their personnel as well as the media for reaching this milestone.*
