NPA admits killing civilian, disarming of barangay kagawad

THE Leonardo Panaligan Command of the New People's Army (NPA) admitted the killing of a civilian and disarming a barangay kagawad in Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental.

In a press statement issued by the LPC through its spokesperson Ka JB Regalado, the rebels claimed responsibility for killing Bunjing Bulado in Sutuo Kinaya at Barangay Bulado, Guihulngan on July 31.

Bulado was allegedly keeping firearms and threatened the farmers by firing his guns. He was allegedly engaged in land grabbing.

On the same day, the rebels also claimed responsibility of disarming Barangay Kagawad Jomar Tumtim and his father identified as Danny Timtim of Barangay Balogo, Guihulngan.

The father and son have allegedly threatened the residents in the area.

The rebels further claimed the two are members of armed groups.

Confiscated from them were two .45 caliber pistols with live ammunition.

The rebels further claimed they have been receiving complaints from the residents of the alleged harassment of the father and son.
