AN ESTIMATED P272,000 worth of shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in a drug bust by operatives of the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU)- Western Visayas at Camella Subdivision, Barangay Bata, Bacolod City Wednesday afternoon, September 2, 2020.
The operation led to the arrest of Erwin Agsam of Bacolod City.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), said Agsam was arrested after he sold a sachet of shabu to a police undercover around 4 p.m.
Police recovered from Agsam's possession 22 sachets of shabu weighing 40 grams, the P1,000 marked money, a belt bag, P1,200 cash, a .38 caliber revolver loaded with five live ammunition, and a Nissan vehicle.
The suspect sustained a wound on his left leg when he tried to fight back with operatives.
The suspect is detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 3 and facing charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
