P402,000 shabu seized in Bacolod drug busts

THE Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) seized an estimated P402,540 worth of illegal drugs in the past two days.

The biggest drug haul was conducted at Barangay Banago on April 26 which resulted to the recovery of 14 sachets of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) weighing 25 grams worth P312,500 and the arrest of Gil John Guanzon and Lyncar Bantilan in a drug bust at the said barangay Friday, April 26.

Police also confiscated from them the P500 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

The two suspects are detained at Police Station 3.

In a separate operation, Murphy Pillaflor was arrested at Barangay Singcang-Airport on same day after police confiscated from him three sachets of suspected shabu worth P25,000, and the P300 marked money. He is detained at Police Station 8.

On April 25, Joeford Sancho, 32, and Jesus Lumagbas, 42, both residents of Barangay 2 were arrested at Barangay Villamonte for alleged sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs.

Both suspects allegedly yielded 15 sachets of suspected shabu worth P65,040, the P500 marked money, an improvised tooter, coin purse, and a motorcycle. They are detained at Police Station 4.

Police Colonel Henry Biñas, officer-in-charge of BCPO, commended the local police for a significant accomplishment.

He continuously reminded the personnel to actively fight all forms of criminality in the area of responsibility.

The public is also encouraged to do their share in crime prevention and support the government’s effort in the campaign against illegal drugs.
