Pasaporte highlights importance of ROTC in leadership

COLONEL Inocencio Pasaporte, 303rd Infantry Brigade Commander, emphasized the importance of Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) during the Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod (CSA-B) Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Presentation of Parents and Sponsors AY 2019-2020 held at CSA-B Campus on Saturday, March 7, 2020.

"ROTC not just develops the cadet to be physically strong, but most importantly it makes them realize that, as they ascend in the Corp, they learn to be humble, and ingrain in themselves that leadership must be grounded in humility," Pasaporte said.

He also reminded the cadets to always strive for excellence and to never settle for anything less.

Pasaporte was invited as the guest of honor and speaker for the ROTC Presentation of Sponsors and Recognition of Parents AY 2019-2020 and Donning of Ranks of Reserve Officer of CSA-B.

The Corps of Cadet and Cadette Officers of the Colegio of San Agustin Bacolod under the Department of Military Science and Tactics was headed by Captain Orlando O Faren, School ROTC Commandant and under the supervision of 605th CDC, 6RCDG, ARESCOM, PA headed by Major Marcel Jumawan, CDC Director based in Panaad Park, Brgy Mansillingan, Bacolod City.

During his speech, Pasaporte further stressed, "Continue to be strong as pride of the Filipinos, bear in mind that you comprise our future, and your time will also come in contributing and shaping the country for the next generation."
