A PEDICAB driver was arrested after he allegedly choked a 12-year-old student in Barangay Taculing, Bacolod City Wednesday morning, July 25.
Police withheld the name of the victim.
The 38-year-old suspect, whose name was also withheld by the authorities, saw the victim who was on her way to school around 7:45 a.m., police records showed.
He then asked the victim to ride on his pedicab so he could drop her to the school.
However, when they were traveling, the suspect went to a secluded area, where he allegedly hugged and choked the victim.
Fortunately, the victim was able to shout and asked for help.
This resulted in the arrest of the suspect, who is detained at Police Station 6. (GYM)
