A RELATIVE of the late Western Visayas’s drug lord Ramy Poja and two others were arrested for sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs in separate operations in Bacolod City from September 28 to 30.
On September 30, personnel of Police Station 3 conducted a buy-bust operation against Leoner Jalando-on at Barangay Banago, but he was able to escape.
Police, however, arrested Rommel Cayutado, 46, of the said village, who also attempted to escape but he was cornered by police operatives.
Police recovered from Cayutado a sachet of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or locally known as shabu worth P12,000, and drug paraphernalia.
Cayutado, who is Poja's relative, is detained at the police station.
In a separate operation, Gay Reboton, 36, of Barangay Handumanan, a newly-identified drug personality, was arrested in a drug bust at the said village after police seized from her two sachets of suspected shabu worth P5,000, a small box, and the P200 marked money. She is detained at Police Station 10.
On September 28, Jomar Villalba, 24, of Barangay 27, a newly-identified drug personality, was collared in a drug raid at Barangay 31, which resulted to the confiscation of three sachets of suspected shabu worth P4,000, the P200 marked money, drug paraphernalia, and P150 in cash. He is detained at Police Station 6.
