Police Station 8 moves to Pahanocoy today

POLICE Colonel Henry Biñas, officer-in-charge of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), said Monday, April 29, that Police Station 8 will transfer to its new location in Barangay Pahanocoy Wednesday, May 1.

Biñas said personnel of the police station have been occupying the lot in Tangub village for several years now.

They were previously ordered by the lot owner to vacate the area but they asked for an extension while they're looking for a new space, he added.

The police station is now temporarily situated near the Pahanocoy village hall and gymnasium.

Meanwhile, Biñas said he will deploy more personnel at the Goldenfield Commercial Complex and Barangay Singcang-Airport to strengthen police presence in these areas.

For his part, Police Major Charles Gever, head of Police Station 8, said they have no difficulty moving to its temporary office.

Gever said the new office is visible to the people and can be easily located.

He even thanked the Pahanocoy village officials for offering an office for the policemen.

He said they will eventually move to their permanent office once there is an available budget for the construction of the building at the 200 square-meter donated lot near the previous police station at Tangub village.

The budget can be sourced out from the national headquarters or through the help of the City Government, he added.
