Security guard injured after robbers hit car showroom

A SECURITY guard was injured after a car showroom was robbed by four unidentified assailants in Talisay City, Negros Occidental Tuesday night, December 4.

The victim was identified as John Galanza, 49, of Barangay Tangub, Bacolod City.

Investigation revealed that the armed robbers entered the vicinity after the closing of the showroom at 10 p.m.

Galanza’s colleague, Danilo Dinoro, 49, of Manapla town, saw the robbers first but he failed to fight back. He was tied by the suspects.

Galanza who was at the guard house at that time tried to fight the robbers but the latter hit his head with a firearm. He was also tied by the unknown men.

The robbers then went to one of the offices where the vault is.

They reportedly destroyed the vault containing sales money worth P44,000 with an acetylene and sledgehammer.

The robbers stayed at the vicinity for more than an hour as they reportedly entered other offices before they fled.

They also carted away a hard drive of the closed-circuit television camera installed inside the car showroom.

Police are looking into different angles in the incident including, “inside job.”

The two security guards are also subjected for investigation. (GYM)
