Sipalay foreman falls from third floor, dies

A FOREMAN of Sipalay City in Negros Occidental died after falling from the third floor of the City Government center on Sunday, February 25.

Senior Inspector Clifford Baladhay, deputy chief of Sipalay City Police Station, identified the fatality as Romeo Britania, 54, of Barangay Cabadiangan.

Baladhay said Britania, who was assigned at the City Engineer’s Office, arrived at 8:28 a.m., and went to the building’s third floor to conduct an inspection.

After 15 minutes, security guard Roel Exequil heard a sound prompting him to check the area. Exequil then heard someone shouting for help.

The victim was found on the second floor with multiple injuries.

He was rushed to a hospital in Bacolod City, where he later died.

Baladhay said Britania probably slipped so there was no foul play, and what happened was an accident.
