NATIONALIST People’s Coalition (NPC) was among the political parties that have coalesced with the Hugpong ng Pagbabago formed by Presidential daughter Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte–Carpio.

Hugpong ng Pagbabago has signed a coalition agreement with the NPC, Nacionalista Party and National Unity Party (NUP) in a gathering held at Blue Leaf Filipinas in Paranaque on Monda, August 13.

NPC-Bacolod chair Representative Greg Gasataya, Negros Occidental First District Representative Melecio Yap Jr. and 6th District Representative Mercedes Alvarez–Lansang and other NPC members witnessed the signing.

With this coalition, the scope of Hugpong ng Pagbabago will now be expanded to Negros Occidental and Bacolod including other areas in the country which can help spread the various advocacies of Mayor Duterte and her father, President Rodrigo Duterte, Gasataya said.

Asked if it would have an impact to his next political plans, he said: “I will still seek the guidance of God through prayers. Only Him can say whether I will continue or otherwise.”

He said as to those who want to join the coalition of Hugpong ng Pagbabago and NPC, they can organize through his representation.

Reports said that the Davao mayor has plans to run for senator in 2019.
