NEGROS Occidental Fifth District Rep. Emilio Yulo III is pushing for the inclusion of the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) in the One Hospital Command (OHC) System of the provincial government.

"The OHC System of the province is impressive which only needs a little bit of fine tuning," Yulo, who was at the Provincial Capitol Building in Bacolod City for a briefing on OHC yesterday, July 5, said.

Through the OHC, at any given time you would know which among the provincial government-run hospitals have available beds and who are the doctors on duty, Yulo said.

"I would like to call on the CLMMRH to be part of the OHC because more coordination is needed between the hospitals run by the province and the CLMMRH which is under the national government. We should look into it," the congressman said.

Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson has expressed his plan to strengthen the OHC system by tapping local government units (LGUs) in all 31 cities and municipalities to boost the province's emergency response service.

“We will urge all LGUs to adopt the One Hospital Command program to further simplify the process of providing our constituents with rescue and medical interventions in times of emergency,” Lacson said.

Formed as part of the province’s Digitizing Health and Emergency Management initiative, the OHC system serves as the center of communications between referrals from one hospital into another.

It also facilitates medical transport and patient pick-up arrangements, provides health system capacity, data analytics, risk communications, and optimizes the use of critical care services of every hospital in Negros Occidental.*
