THE Incorruptible Heart relic of St. Camillus de Lillis has touched the hearts of the many devotees in Bacolod City.

It was the first visit of the relic in the city on March 11 and 12, said Normel Dimakiling, a relic custodian and member of the liturgical arts.

The relic made the rounds at Riverside Medical Center, Doctor's Hospital and Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.

There was a welcome mass held at the San Sebastian Cathedral, officiated by Bishop Patricio A. Buzon.

Dimakiling said that St. Camillus de Lillis founded a religious order dedicated to take care of the sick.

For him, the altar of the sick is his or her hospital bed, and those who take care of them should put their heart on the patient.

“I was able to kiss the relic and I felt his divine presence. The sick is very important to St. Camillus—and to me—who also has an apostolate on sick people,” Dimakiling said.

The relic left on Tuesday for Davao.
