A SUSPECTED rebel was killed while two soldiers were injured in separate encounters between the government troops of the 79th Infantry (Masaligan) Battalion and members of the New People's Army in Escalante City, Negros Occidental, Thursday, April 20.
The troops seized one M14 rifle, three rifle grenades, three 40mm high explosive grenades, and the rebels' personal belongings.
The killed rebel is yet to be identified as of this writing.* (MPE)
