THE Recoletos de Bacolod Graduate School will hold a symposium on “Disaster Risk Reduction Management in LGUs.”
Symposium will be on today at the Circle Inn Hotel and Suites, Bacolod City. Registration will start at 7:30 a.m. and the program proper will start at 8 a.m.
The activity will provide participants with the knowledge and appreciation of the proposed Department of Disaster Resilience Bill.
It will likewise give a general overview of Disaster Risk Reduction Management at the LGU level and discuss the best practices in disaster response and rehabilitation employed in various LGUs.
Invited to attend are the DRRM Officer together with the barangay captains, LGU officers and staff from various offices such as the office of the mayor, planning and development office, engineering, agriculture, environment, human resource management office, accounting, treasury and assessors offices, social welfare and development, health office, Sangguniang Panglungsod/Sangguniang Bayan and other line agencies/offices.
