THE United Negros Alliance (UNegA) will soon meet for the discussion about the upcoming elections of the Philippine Councilors League- Negros Occidental chapter.

Cadiz City Mayor Salvador Escalante, secretary general of UNegA, said the meeting will probably be held in the middle of this month.

Aside from the PCL elections, Escalante said, their party will also discuss the elections for the Association of Chief Executives (ACE) Negros Occidental and League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP).

He said UNegA will also invite Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson and the representatives of the other local political coalition- the Love Negros.

Currently, the PCL is represented by Board Member Ryan Gamboa, who is a councilor of Silay City.

Gamboa sits as ex-officio member of the Sanggunian Panlalawigan.

Former Victorias City Mayor Frederick Palanca, who has ended his term, is president of ACE while Valladolid Mayor Enrique Miravalles heads the LMP in the province.
