A GRADUATE of the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos ranked first in the March 2023 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers in the elementary level.
Andrea Nicole Sumugat placed first in the exam after she garnered 92.20 percent rating. She shared the top spot with five other passers.
Taking the ninth spot was Silverio Tortocion III of Kabankalan Catholic College, with 90.60% rating.
For the secondary level, Keana Marie Bartolome of the University of St. La Salle placed fourth in the board exam with 92.20 percent rating while Venis Nicole Jucal, also of USLS, finished 9th with 91.20 rating.
According to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), 48,005 out of 102,272 (46.94%) successfully passed the LEPT Secondary Level.
Carlos A. Hilado Memorial State College-Talisay ranked 10th in the Top 10 performing schools in the teacher board exam in the elementary level, garnering a 93.10% passing percentage, as 54 out of its 58 examinees succeeded in the exam.
The Licensure Exam for Teachers was conducted on March 19, 2023 at several testing centers located at Metro Manila, Antique, Bacolod, Baguio, Pangasinan, Bohol, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Ilocos Sur, Isabela, Cebu, Davao, Digos, Dumaguete, Iloilo, General Santos City, Kidapawan, Koronadal, Ilocos Norte, Legazpi, Lucena, Marinduque, Masbate, Mati City, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Pagadian, Palawan, Romblon, Pampanga, Laguna, Tacloban, Tagum, Tuguegarao, Catanduanes and Zamboanga.
