Woman injured after struck by brother-in-law

A WOMAN was allegedly struck with an air gun by her brother-in-law at Barangay Tabao Baybay in San Enrique, Negros Occidental Monday, June 4.

Police records showed that a commotion occurred between Rosie Alova and Morina Orfillas after the latter’s husband, who is the victim’s brother-in-law, reportedly planted coconut trees on victim’s property.

Suspect Reynaldo Alova suddenly hit the victim’s forehead with an air gun to pacify the commotion.

The victim sustained an injury and was then brought to a hospital while the suspect was arrested.

He is now under the custody of the town police.

Police recovered from the scene the suspect’s air gun and a 12-inch bladed weapon. (Debbie Benedicto, STI West Negros University intern)
