Jottings: Survival suit

LIKE a lot of young professionals today, dealing with everyday pressures and personal struggles can be tough emotional baggage to lift.

It is because most of us are living with high expectations.

At certain times, we are mainly driven by unintelligent opinions or irrelevant criticism that do not even matter.

If it requires a lot of energy to handle the draining and exhaustion, then it is up to us to find an effective outlet or channel to maximize our time with.

We get to be misunderstood a lot of times when it is all just about surviving. Remember, not everyone is privileged to have everything that the world demands.

We all go through our own doubts and disappointments. Our tomorrows are loaded with fears and uncertainties.

We could not stop having our bodies activated like clockwork to function even at its lows. For the sake of thinking too much about what we could have done better, we also fail to recognize our own limitations.

So, it might be a good idea to slow down and end this cycle or chain to start living.

What is important is to feel our core as human beings. Not perfect, but resilient from our flaws; not faultless but inclined to persistent learning.

And when things get a little tighter than they used to be, we wear all our survival suits as a coping accessory to keep the momentum going.

What matters now is not about quickly changing our current situation, but getting through a rough week is somewhat more rewarding.*
