Over P4M shabu seized in Bacolod

THE Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) seized an estimated P4.040 million worth of a substance believed to be shabu in separate drug busts in Bacolod City Sunday evening, August 10, 2025.

The operation also led to the arrest of alias "Levi," a resident of Barangay Handumanan; alias "Raegil," a resident of Barangay Estefania, both in Bacolod City; alias "Evon," and alias "Riche," both residents of Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.

BCPO records showed that alias "Levi" and alias "Raegil" were arrested by operatives of the City Drugs Enforcement Unit (CDEU) after one of them sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer in Zone 5, Barangay Handumanan, around 8:34 p.m.

Police recovered from the suspects’ possession several plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 520 grams with an estimated market value of P3.536 million, along with the marked money.

Alias "Evon" and alias "Riche" were also arrested by operatives of Police Station 8 at Purok Grasya, Barangay Singcang-Airport around 8:42 p.m.

Police found in their possession several plastic sachets containing shabu weighing 80 grams with an estimated market value of P544,000, along with the marked money.

Police said the suspects are classified as high-value drug personalities in Bacolod City.

The suspects are currently detained at the custodial facilities of Police Stations 8 and 10. They will be charged with violating Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
