

THE Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) seized an estimated P884,000 million worth of substance believed to be shabu in a drug bust in Purok Kabuhi, Barangay 10, Bacolod City, around 6:05 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
The operation also led to the arrest of alias Richard, 20, a resident of the said village.
BCPO records showed that the suspect was arrested by operatives of the City Drugs Enforcement Unit (CDEU) after he sold a sachet of shabu to a poseur buyer.
Police recovered from alias Richard's possession several plastic sachets containing shabu weighing 130 grams and the marked money.
Police said alias “Richard" is classified as a high-value drug personality in Bacolod City.
The suspect is currently detained at the custodial facility of BCPO.
He will be charged with violating Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Colonel Joeresty Coronica, BCPO director, also lauded the accomplishment of the CDEU.
“This successful operation highlights the unwavering commitment of the Bacolod City Police Office to rid the city of illegal drugs and hold accountable those who threaten public safety,” Coronica said. (MAP)
