SAN Carlos City Mayor Renato Gustilo has issued Executive Order (EO) 96, temporarily closing Mindanao Ave. in Barangay Palampas to vehicular traffic from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. starting March 19, 2025, until further notice.
Signed on March 18, the EO aims to ensure public safety, maintain order and support local businesses. Gustilo cited increased pedestrian activity due to food kiosks operating in the area, necessitating precautionary measures to prevent accidents.
He added the temporary closure aims to promote a safer environment for pedestrians and support local business operating in the area.
The mayor directed the Traffic Management Authority to establish detour routes and install proper signage for motorists.
Gustilo said Section 16 of Sangguniang Panlungsod Ordinance 07-05 provides that “the traffic regulation provided under this Ordinance may be suspended or redirected or rerouted by the City Government through an Executive Order issued by the City Mayor in case of the celebration of the city fiesta, Charter day and other important events that may require the same.”/ MAP
